Adana Roberts

Adana Roberts, has been what many are now categorizing as a ‘hidden gem.’ Contrary to the belief of some, she never hid. The artiste, who was born and raised in Tobago for many years struggled with the reality of being overlooked by many. While her will dwindled at times Adana’s passion would always ignite. Formerly known as Princess Adana, the melanin songstress tossed her tiara aside when she began celebrating maturity; becoming a mother. Adana began singing professionally at age 15 and has been a staple in entertainment circles in Tobago. Being born in such a diverse society, her exposure to multiple genres was limitless. Outside of the genres of Soca and Calypso which originated in Trinidad and Tobago, her love for Reggae, RnB, Jazz and Soul is endless. Inspired and influenced by Roberta Flack, one of Adana’s most memorable experiences to date would be opening for Flack at a concert held in Trinidad. She has also opened and graced the same stages as India Arie, Calypso Rose, Destra Garcia, Elton John, Lauryn Hill, George Benson, Mary J. Blige, Machel Montano and Whitney Houston among others. Her talents have also afforded her the opportunity to perform in Jamaica, St Marteen, Grenada, Las Palmas, Canada, The USA and Barbados, among others.
